Paul Carmona
President, Tax Partner
Paul Carmona joined Besse, Carmona, and Partin, PC in April 2013 and has since assumed the role of President, leading the firm while serving as Tax Partner. He directs overall firm strategy and operations, with particular oversight of tax services encompassing preparation, compliance, planning, and financial statement services. His expertise is particularly valuable in the construction industry, which presents unique financial and tax complexities that demand highly tailored strategies for effective management and optimization. Prior to joining the firm, Paul spent twelve years in public accounting at a leading Houston CPA firm, focusing on audits and reviews in the construction sector. He holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin (December 1993), an MBA from the University of Utah (May 1999), and has been a licensed Texas CPA since 2002.
Vincent Tran
Vice President, Accounting Partner
Vincent Tran joined Besse, Carmona, and Partin, PC in May of 2010 and progressed to partner in January 2021 and Vice President in April 2025. He manages day-to-day firm operations, coordinates staff activities, reviews client work product, oversees firm growth initiatives, implements new client onboarding processes, provides IT and software support, and supervises conversions to new systems. Vincent also leads the financial statement preparation team and manages various administrative and client service responsibilities. He graduated from the University of Houston in 2007 with a BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics and obtained his CPA license in July 2019.
